Pop of Pink...

It’s that time of year where we can go all out with the sparkle and glitz, this season I’m going to be adding a touch of hot pink to my accessories in order to make my outfit pop. I’m loving these platform Shoes from DUNE they sit perfectly with the RIVER ISLAND clutch bag.

I don’t really do over the top sequins but this trouser suit from ALLSAINTS is ticking all the right boxes, the boyish, sleek silhouette means I don’t realise I’m wearing head to toe sequins.

If your wanting something a little more feminine then this REBECCA VALLANCE knitted dress is perfect with a slight shimmer in the yarn, add a rhinestone head band from AND OTHER STORIES and a sequin bag and your ready to start the Christmas celebrations.

Knitted Dress Season...

The last couple of years has seen the knitted dress trend grow in strength and no wonder as they are extremely versatile and can be easily dress up or down, day to night and everything in-between.

There are many ways to wear a knitted dress no matter what your style is, I’ve chosen this fitted version from ZARA but there are bigger and baggier options out there if that is your prefer style. If you’re looking for a casual look add a pair of trainers, bomber jkt like this version from HUSH and let the accessories do the talking by layering on a colourful scarf like the purple one from COS. Otherwise you can smarten up the dress up by pairing with a knee high boots such as these off white ones from ZARA, a wool coat from AND OTHER STORIES, and adding lux accessoeries such as a cream chain bag from BYSARA CHRISTIE and pearl earrings from LILY AND ROO.

Blow are some outfit ideas where I have also added in a few green items to give more outfit options.

Cozy up with Knits and layering…

The weather is changing so we have to start to look at our clothes slightly differently, start to think about those pieces that are going to see you through winter and take the chill away.

I’ve started this months edits with the all essential padded coat and this Hooded Cape from COS is the perfect style, practical yet super chic and warm. It has wide cap sleeves and a detachable hood if the weather looks promising. Layer the coat over a cable knit jumper like this wool version from ARKET, the high neck detail will add warmth but for additional warmth wear it over a striped basic and roll up the sleeves on the knit so you have a bit of stripe pocking out the cuff to add a bit of a extra considerationto the outfit. Make sure the underlayer is tight to the body like this SELECTED FEMME long sleeve top if its too baggy it will not lay flat under the jumper.

Keep the outfit simple with black leggings, my favourite are these ADANOLA ultimate leggings, they come in a wide variety of colours so if you want to add a bit of colour there’s plenty to choose from

Depending on your day ahead I’ve given the choice of a Chunky sole Chelsea boot from the Norwegian brand BRGN, its a fantastic boot that is slightly waterproof so offers a great alternative to a wellie and is a lot more stylish but if the weather doesn’t call for this I would wear back with a simple sneaker style like this NIKE Blaze Mid’77

Pop on a beanie (THE SOCIAL CLUB) to match the boots and pack your reusable takeaway cup with push button lid from FRANK GREEN into your cross body leather bag from ARKET and your ready to go

Time to detox the wardrobe ready for the new season.

Basics are the foundation to any wardrobe and now is the time to ensure you have the perfect capsule pieces for Autumn. By doing this you will find the migration into the cooler season a lot easier. Choose a simple colour palette and inter changeable pieces which can be layered on as the season progresses.

A capsale wardrobe always starts with a couple of good quality tee and vests in basic colours. I’m currently loving ARKET’s T-shirts, they are super soft and the regular fit with slightly longer sleeves brings any outfit bang up to date. A vest might seem a strange item to purchase going into Autumn but it is a great base that can be easily layered over, this one from COS is great, made from organic cotton and fits perfectly.

My other must have item for any season is a white shirt, I live in mine as it is so versatile, worn casually undone over vests and tees or buttoned up and tucked into denim for a more classic, styled look. There are many options out there no matter what your budget is, but currently my favourite is this one from COS, the fit is perfect and has extra design details such as its hidden placket and seem detail down the centre back that adds an extra twist to your outfit. Tuck the shirt into ARKET straight cropped jeans, add a pair of ballet flats like these from DUNE and drape a striped knit (AND OTHER STORIES) over the shoulders to create a timeless look.

The satin slip skirt from ZARA is probably the one pieces in this selection that is trend driven but something you can dress up or down. I’d wear mine with a vest and open shirt in the warmer weather and then add a chunky knit as it cools or a basic tee and Oversized Blazer like this one from ARKET. Finishing the outfit with trainers such as these NEW BALANCE 327 and POLENE bag for an effortlessly chic look.

With the weather being so unpredictable my final suggestion is a cropped Trench Coat from ARKET, another twist on a classic style to just add that little bit of excitement to your outfit.

WARDROBE EDITS: APRIL

Dreaming of Sunnier Times

It was the first day of Spring a few weeks ago but somehow the weather doesn’t want to comply, so whilst we dream of sunny skies and alfresco dinning our outfits are saying something totally different. The best option is to keep it simple and go for classic pieces that you probably already have in your wardrobe and only purchase pieces that have longevity to see you through the coming seasons/years.

This MARLENE BIRGER A-Line Skirt isn’t cheap but is a beautiful classic piece that is extremely versatile and timeless, it can be worn in many different ways so worth the investment. Wear now with Knee high boots such as these cream ones from ZARA, and as the weather warms up swap them for a pair of sandals or neutral toned trainers such as these beige ones from NEW BALANCE, the paired down colour tones make them another great investment as they will look great with most outfits. The first images on my page shows how you can effortlessly pair the skirt back with a basic tee which I’m sure most of you have in your wardrobe but for added warmth I’ve also suggested two knitted tops from Marcela London, the first being this amazing chunky polo-neck and the second a sleeveless turtleneck, just tuck the front in and your ready to go.

If a skirt isn’t your item of choice then you can switch out for a pair of jeans, I’ve chosen these black cropped kick flares from MANGO, this leg shape will instantly make your outfit look updated.

Time to take these garments up a notch and be a little more playful by adding a pop of colour. This mini cross body bag in red from COS and gorgeous little start bracelet from SOFIA’S JEWELS make these simple outfit stand out and give you a point of difference. Finally switch out your wool coats for something a little lighter, I love a denim jkt in Spring/Summer but this 4 pocket jkt from AND OTHER STORIES works perfectly with this look and has a drawstring waist to add shape to the overall look…

WARDROBE EDITS: MARCH

Sugary colour tones…

One of the most simplest pieces to wear is an all in one and this boiler suit from WYSE it has the perfect balance of utility cool-girl style with an added touch of femininity coming through in the puff sleeves, frill collar and sugary pink colour.

Whilst the weather is still cold I suggest you wear the boilers suit with lots of layers, start with this cream modal long sleeve top from ARKET , undo the front zip on the boiler suit so you can see it peeping out around the neckline, its little tweaks like this that are going to make the outfit feel consider and not just thrown on. To tie the colours together I’ve added cream ankle boots from SAN MARINA that work well with this look, simply roll up the hem on the boiler suit to balance out the look and then layer over this beautiful pink quilted jacket from WEEKDAY.

As the weather improves you can switch the boots for strappy sandals such as these from NEXT and drape a lovely piece of knitwear around your shoulders for added warmth or directly over the quilted JKT, I’ve chosen this gorgeous knit in lilac from AND OTHER STORIES which will add extra depth to the colour palette.

I’ve kept the accessories simple yet elevated, these beautiful glasses from JIMMY FAIRLY are so amazing and give an edgy feel but they also have a softness that comes through with the rose tinted lenses, I’ve balanced this out with a straw cross body bag from AND OTHER STORIES that sits perfectly with the lilac knitwear and finally added some simple chunky hoop earrings from AND OTHER STORIES

This sugary coloured outfit isn’t too girly and has has the perfect amount of everyday street style that looks elegant and pulled together.

WARDROBE EDITS: FEB

Set the tone of the season and make it bright…

If like me you’ve spent the last year in neutral tones then now is the time to add colour to your wardrobe, this doesn’t mean you need a whole new wardrobe of clothes there are plenty of colours that complement beiges, greys and creams. This month my chosen colour is green because it also works amazingly alongside a neutral colour palette as well as navy and denims, but you could quite easily go for lilac, pinks or even bright blue if green isn’t a colour you’d choose.

This Spring is going to be cardi season, its the perfect trans seasonal item just layer up for cozy comfort now and add as a cover up to floaty dress in the summer months.

I’ve started my Feb Edits with a statement oversized green cardi from COS which I will be layering over a basic black polo-neck, try this one from WHISTLES it comes in a soft cotton mix and slim silhouette, these are the type of pieces that you can get so much wear out of, use as a layering piece under dresses, blouses or wear on its own with blazer on top. I have chosen to pair my knitwear back with these high waisted regular fit denim jeans from ARKET, they are the perfect fit, bring the look bang up to date with these Chunky black loafers from DUNE. If you prefer a more feminine look add matching green heels from ZARA and cinch the waist in with a belt, I’m loving this gorgeous snakeskin look leather belt from REISS, its delicate and perfect to counter balance the masculinity of the Cardigan.

If you want to make a real statement then go for head to toe green and add the wide leg trousers from ZARA and replace the polo-neck with this beautiful cotton puff sleeve blouse from AND OTHER STORIES. I have finished the look with this amazing beige coat from ZARA just to prove how well green goes with neutral tones.

WARDROBE EDITS: DEC

Time to Party…..

I love dressing up and what better excuse than Christmas, so whatever your plans are this year theres one thing a girl needs to do and thats add a bit of sparkle and fun to your outfit. There is something for everyone out there be it head to toe sequins or just a little nod to the glitz and glam of the season.

I’ve started with this amazing H & M Sequin long sleeve top, it is the perfect style and comes in this rich sophisticated beige tone that gives a grown up feel to any outfit. This top will work perfectly with a pair of black tailored trouser such as this tuxedo style from RIVER ISLAND, they come with an added detail of a side split that can show off your foot attire so make sure it is something special like these gorgeous platform shoes from LOEFFLE RANDALL . I just can’t stop thinking about these shoes they just sum up the Christmas season for me and will go with so many different outfits, uplifting even the most casual of styles be it just a jumper and jeans.

I am also loving this sequin skirt from RIVER ISLAND it is so feminine and extremely versatile, you can go for a glamorous look with this plunge neck body from REISS and black MODA IN PELLE ankle boots or if you want something a little more classic then add your favourite winter jumper, the different textures will really make this outfit stand out but I would add more glitz with these super gorgeous star earrings from BUTLER AND WILSON.

If you want to make a statement then this sequin dress from CLUB L is the one for you, it is the is the dress to impress. Team back with the star earrings and silver quilted ZARA bag and you really will be the bell of the ball.

All the pieces I have chosen can be worn in multiple ways and take you beyond the festive season and many years to come.

WARDROBE EDITS: NOV

Layer up and get Cozy…..

Just because it’s cold outside doesn’t mean we can’t be stylish, one way to achieve this is by dressing head to toe in one colour. It my looks great but isn’t the easiest thing to achieve, the technique is to add interest through textures and a variety of fabrications within the outfit. You don’t have to match your colours exactly but instead choose shades from similar colour families to help create dimension to the outfit. By following these simple steps you can create outfits that are impactful and look super lux even if the individual pieces didn’t cost you that much.

I’ve decided not to make it too complicated and kept to a neutral colour palette, my base outfit is this beautiful co-ordinated set from 12 Storeez in off white, made from breathable cotton-blend material so it can keep your body heat under control. Tuck the oversize sweater into the fleece wide sweat pants and you have the start of an effortless, sophisticated and cozy outfit for the winter months.

Next treat your feet to these heavenly cashmere socks form The White Company before popping on a pair of tonal boots such as these classic chunky Chelsea boots in beige from And Other Stories .

I’ve also included these seamless leggings from Arket and ribbed wool/silk sweater from Massimo Dutti in my edits, they can be worn under the outfit for extra warmth or layered with the this beautiful chunky knit cardi from Massimo Dutti, it adds a slightly different colour to the palette and brings in some all important texture.

Now is where we add the impact by breaking up the colour palette and adding hues of Khaki within the accessories and outerwear to complete the look. This seasons anything in puffer is key so wrap yourself up in this amazing Khaki vest from H&M, its a great layering piece that is very versatile but extremely stylish. Finally add a matching Khaki beanie from The Social Club London and elevated textured bag from Cos which is crafted from recycled polyester and you're ready to impress in this outfit that has the perfect balance of style and practicality for the season.

Autumn is officially here so its time to think about re-freshing your summer wardrobe…..

Your summer wardrobe is more versatile than you probabry realise and with very little effort you can easily change those summer styles into the perfect Autumn outfits. With a little bit of styling and the right layering pieces you’ll be able to create amazing looks to see you throught the next few months.

Firstly take all your summery dresses and skirts and add a boot like this lovely chuncky version from Zara, it adds an Autumn feel to your outfit straight away. Next you need to add warmth with layering pieces such as polonecks and shirt/jacket which have been around now for a few seasons now and become a true staple that will see you through Autumn and well into winter. I’ve chosen a simple grey flannel style from And Other Stories so that it will go well with most of the dress I own but there are many different fabrications and colours on the market so if you prefer a bit of colour our print then heres your opportunity to do so.

Finish the look with a fedora and my go to shop for hats is Lack of Colour with there amazing offer of colours and styles so you should be able to find one that maches those summer dress.

WARDROBE EDITS: JUNE

The sun has finally arrived, so what to wear?

With the recent change in weather comes a change in how we dress, last summer we were all locked down but now its time to showcase our summer wardrobe.

To be honest I still don’t really trust the English weather so I’m suggesting that we still go for a layering outfit - This month I have fallen for this linen short and blazer set from ZARA , the pink tone is so beautiful and summery without being too bold and the blazer is the perfect cover up for when the weather decided to turn. Change the shorts for a pair of ripped mum jeans such as these ones from ZARA, they look amazing paired back with the blazer and trainers or if you haven’t already got your feet out now is the time with these hot pink sandals from ZARA, they are the perfect footwear to bring something a little special to this outfit whether you are wearing the shorts or the jeans.

To me summer has always been about wearing pretty blouses and there are plenty to choose from on the highstreet so I’ve teamed my shorts with this H&M version in a crisp cotton poplin, it is so cute with the gathered round neckline and delicatly embroided puff sleeves. If some of you find this a little too girly then switch it out for this timeless basic rib vest from WEEKDAY made from organic cotton, it is the perfect subsitute and so simple to style.

WARDROBE EDITS: APRIL

With lockdown lifting this month, what are your plans and what will you be wearing?

It’s time to fall back in love with our clothes again….

This Spring/Summer its all about details with chintzy florals, ruching, ruffles and prairie-style sleeves in beautiful pastel shades. I’m in love with this beautiful lace dress from Ghost, the delicate sleeve detailing and beautiful blush tone make it the perfect dress worn with heels for all out elegance or pair back with a simple pair of flats like these super soft Massimo Dutti pumps for something a little more understated. Its all about getting the most out your clothes and this dress can create so many different looks, add a bit of tailoring such as the Zara blazer from last month as well as the Sorel + Gold chain and this Fedora from Lack of Colour and you have a great little outfit that will see you through any occasion.

If you are a bit more daring then this And Other Stories ditsy floral print blouse with voluminous shaped sleeves and frill collar is perfect for you. The pretty blouse looks great worn back with jeans but I would add this shirred cream skirt also from And Other Stories and Maison Bengal hand loomed bag to create a cute romantic look which is perfect for those lazy summer days, whilst the weather is still chilly you can easily layer simple knits over the top.

Although it may be spring the UK weather is so unpredictable at the moment and with indoor dinning still not an option I suggest having an additional layering piece such as this pastel green Mac from Mango, it will keep you warm whilst still looking stylish and chic.

WARDROBE EDITS: MARCH

Add a splash of colour to your wardrobe and step boldly into Spring…..

I’ve been wearing neutral tones for far too long now, spring is just around the corner so it is the perfect time to inject some colour into my outfits. Think about colours that will work alongside your current wardrobe so you can mix and match, creating more ways of wearing what you currently own. When I say add colour it doesn’t have to be brash and hard, think of soft tones that work perfectly alongside or the camels, creams and greyish tones from previous seasons - soft pastel greens, pinks and yellows.

For this months edits I have chosen two fine knit tops from and other stories they are the perfect colour and the sweetheart neckline will add instant character to your look. While the weather is still chilly I would advise layering on this Alpaca and Merino cardi from ARKET keeping the colour tones similar to make a chic look. Add extra warmth with a neutral blazer, you might have plenty already in your wardrobe otherwise this double breasted style from Zara is gorgeous and is amazing quality for the price.

Recently it has been argued that skinny jeans are out giving way to the bigger, bagger jeans of the 90’s. It’s understandable that I hear a sigh of relief from some of you as skinny jeans are not for everyone but I’m not sure I am ready to embrace the 90’s wide leg pant just yet so I suggest you go for a slightly slimmer, straight leg which will still give your outfit an up to date feel. And other stories have just released 3 new fits such as these Favourite Cut Crop which are high waisted, great at holding in the belly and they also have a degree of stretch to help fit perfectly around your body. You can dress the look down with a pair of vibrant trainers like these NIKE ZoomX or go for something smarter like these sling back shoe from LK Bennett.

Finally add some chunky jewellery and a bag that compliments the colour of the outfit, I have chosen this Leather Cassette Cross Body Bag from Bottega Veneta which is a bit pricey but there are many amazing bags on the highstreet that will work with this look.

Now your ready for Spring……

WARDROBE EDITS: FEBRUARY

The new knitwear of the season is the vest, What are your thoughts?…..

I’m sure there are lots of mixed feelings about the current trend of Knitted Vests, on paper it seems a little old fashioned but in reality it is anything but. Retailers are awash with different styles to suit everyones taste, be it girly with big frilly collars or simple and chic like this V-neck beige Vest from FRANKIE SHOP. The Vest is a great piece for layering, simply add a tee or a shirts such as this ZARA version for the colder seasons and as the weather warms wear on its own. I have to admit I am a big fan and already have a couple of different styles in my wardrobe. I wear mine back with straight leg leather try like these from AND OTHER STORIES but they easily go back with jeans or wide leg trousers.

Its been a while since I wore a pair of CONVERSE trainers but they seem to be popping up everywhere, the simple style of the trainers work well against the simple shilloette and adds a cuteness to this outfit, for additional cuteness I would add a padded or knotted headbands, such as this black option from AND OTHER STORIES its perfect to keep that fly away hair at bay and look great in zoom calls.

It’s also that time of year to start thinking about investing in a Mac, although it doesn’t feel like it the weather is going to start changing and we will be wanting lighter weigh outerwear. The Mac is a classic style that is a staple in any wardrobe, my current favourite is this oversized Trench with exaggerated collar from FRANKIE SHOP.

WARDROBE EDITS: JANUARY

As we head into the new year the pandemic is still impacting our lives but it doesn’t need to impact our style…..

The pandemic has changed things in so many ways and that includes new shopping habits and how we see clothing. I have stared the new year with a promise to shake up my wardrobe, I’ve lived far too long in tracksuits and loungewear and now long for something a little different. Clothing has a massive effect on your mood and when I dress well I feel good, thats not to say those pieces I bought in 2020 are banished never to be seen again, they still have a space in my wardrobe and will still be worn but maybe just upscaled.

One way to add interest to a simple, cosy outfit is interesting footwear, I’m loving these LK BENNETT Snake skin boots which are now in the sale and will go amazingly with any outfit be it jeans, trousers or dresses. If you are not confident enough to add snake skin print boots to your wardrobe then try a plain colour such as cream or Burgundy. Looking good doesn’t mean you need lots of fancy, tricky pieces, this knitted sweater from MANGO has just the right amount of detail without being over the top, puff sleeve, seem details on the arm and large cuff, fancy but not over the top. I don’t know about you but I love being warm so the key to this is layering, I have given two different layering options, one an over size shirt from COS and two a basic roll neck from ARKET. For those of you who follow me you’ll notice I often talk about the merino wool roll neck from ARKET and have included it in my edits previously, it is knit from pure merino wool and its sheer quality and slim elongated fit make it suitable for layering. The material reacts to body temperature; it stores warmth when the body is cold and has a cooling effect when warm so the perfect undergarment.

All this can be paired back with most bottoms or even worn over dresses but I love jeans, my new go to is a pair of straight leg jeans from AGOLDE, slightly cropped and sit perfectly next to the Snake Skin Printed boots.

WARDROBE EDITS: OCTOBER

Time to wrap up…..

The nights are drawing in and the weather has taken a turn so time to invest in some key winter items. First up the coat, ARKET have introduced a new range of Upcycled Downs – a collection of lightweight outerwear and accessories, offering superior natural warmth from reclaimed materials and I have chosen this longline puffa to cocoon the whole body through the winter months. It is filled with 100% recycled down and feathers and the outer is made from matt recycled Nylon. Slightly oversize in style with a high neck and draw string hood to keep out the cold. The other important part of any winter wardrobe is the choice of boot, I’m loving the variety of chunky soled Chelsea Boots currently on offer and is definitely the item of the season. I’ve chosen these AND OTHER STORIES boots in Light Beige Boots so that they blend in with the outfit and help create a classic and cool feel, these boots also come in black if you feel Light Beige might be too much of a risk.

Layering is key to keeping warm in these cooler months so I have chosen an outfit that does just that…… Start with a good basic knitwear piece that will see you through the season, I‘ve gone with two options either this simple polo neck from MASSIMO DUTTI or a lovely delicate detailed knit from AND OTHER STORIES. Both styles are easy to wear and will work well with jeans, leather pants or worn over dresses so take your pick, I’ve styled it back with with wide pants from ARKET. Finally I have layered on a long line, wool blend overshirt from ZARA which sits lovely under the puffy coat and add that additional layer of warmth.

WARDROBE EDITS: SEPTEMBER

The weathers changing so time to think of a new wardrobe…….

A statement collar blouse is a must have item this season and I’m loving this one from & OTHER STORIES with puff sleeves and scalloped cuffs and collar. I’m not very good at wearing over complicated pieces so I’ve teamed this up with some classic high rise mom jeans from TOPSHOP and simple Camel Sandals from DUNE. Just tuck the blouse in and accessories with a pair of gold earrings from Missoma and cream bag with Camel detailing from Cos and you are ready to impress.

WARDROBE EDITS: JULY

Simple dressing…….

Sometimes all you need is the basics, a simple throw on jersey dress and poplin shirt can make the best summer outfit. I recently bought this jersey rib dress from WEEKDAY, the fabric is so stretchy and comfy but I do suggest getting a size larger so its slightly baggy and you don’t feel so restricted, if you prefer something a little less clingy then there are plenty of jersey options on the highstreet. A blouse or shirt is the perfect layering piece in summer, its light weight and looks great over vests and dress. I simply layer on one of my many shirts to hide all those bits you don’t want everyone to see, ensuring that I roll up the sleeves. Again I would suggest you go for oversized and baggy like this poplin shirt from ARKET which has a relaxed silhouette and dropped shoulder.

This BIMBA Y LOLA bag is the perfect size to carry all my essentials and comes in a choice of many other colour variations, I chose this one because the coral tones sit alongside the dress but you can quite easily add a bit of contrast with brighter tones. Finally there are many shoes you can wear with this outfit but these velcro sandals from TEVA are super comfy and add simplicity to the outfit. When the winter months draw in you can trade the sandals for boots and the poplin blouse for a heavier weight fabrication and this look will see you through autumn easily.

WARDROBE EDITS: JUNE

A Monochrome Mood…….

Every girl needs a white summer dress in there wardrobe and this pretty tiered dress from AND OTHER STORIES is a winner, if you want a minimal look pair it back with simple, elegant accessories such as these beautiful Claw Bracelet that come as a set from MISSOMA and a sleek white Fedora from ZARA, I love hats and have many in my wardrobe but I have to say this is the best fitting hat I have ever owned I love it. Top off the look with these cats eye sunglasses from MONKI and studded elegant sandals from ANCIENT GREEK to create a chic daytime look.

I’ve taken this outfit from minimal to something a bit more elaborate by adding this amazing fan from KOIBIRD and willow drape bag from NANNACAY but if this is too much for you a simple black bag will look just as good.

WARDROBE EDITS: MAY

Longer length shorts are the style to wear this summer…..

I’m not getting any younger so its great to see the more modest, longer length Bermuda style shorts are coming back into fashion, they are so versatile and easy to wear no matter what your style.

I’ve teamed these cut off denim shorts by AGOLDE with this beautiful mint coloured knitted polo top by MARKS AND SPENCER, if mint doesn’t work with your colour tones then they have other colours to choose from. The oversized blazer by AND OTHER STORIES makes this outfit look a little more styled but if you prefer a classic blazer then this will work just as well. The Strappy sandals from AND OTHER STORIES makes this outfit a little smarter, if you want a relaxed feel then switch them out for trainers or sliders.

I always believe in order to finish of an outfit off you need the right jewellery and for this I’ve used simple gold pieces by MARIA BLACK and TILLY SVEAAS that work with the minimal look, if you want a more sporty feel then you can always add a cap and bumbag in replacement of the WHISTLES straw tote.

If you don’t like the pastel tones you can always go for a monotone look like @_amandawalsh_

WARDROBE EDITS: APRIL

Isolation has us all re-addressing our wardrobes……

We’re in lockdown, nowhere to go and no-one to see so what better time to up the game in our loungewear. Every fashion house has realised that if people are going to spend money this month then it’s going to be on items that suit our new lifestyle with comfort being the number one priority. Being comfy doesn’t mean style is out the window, go for classic items like these PIGLET IN BED Linen striped PJ bottoms worn back with this beautiful embroidered blouse from ZARA, creating the perfect look keeping you going through the day looking stylish.

You’ll also want your underwear to be super comfy and what’s better and more classic than a CALVIN KLIEN Bralette and cosy cashmere bed socks from SOCKSHOP.

Finally throw over this ONE HUNDRED STARS kimono which is so versatile, wear it now with your loungewear but it can also double as a bikini cover up or over little denim shorts and white vest for a great summer outfit. If you prefer a warmer cover up for those chilly evening try AND OTHER STORIES -V-Cut Cardi.

WARDROBE EDITS: MARCH

Dreaming of warmer day, will it ever stop raining and when will Spring be here?

Its time to think about your Spring wardrobe and I’m getting all nostalgic with a throw back from the 90’s, yes the strappy sandal is back and is the go to shoe for Spring/Summer ‘20 and I can’t wait to wear mine, as soon as we have a bit of sun they will be on. There are many different styles and colours to choose from but I have gone for these square toes sandals from ZARA, they look great under anything from long flowing dress, wide leg trousers and even joggers for those who are more daring….. whilst it isn’t quite sandal weather yet I will stick with my white trainers from ASOS or chunky boots like the Dr MARTINS I suggested in Feb’s wardrobe update.

For this outfit I have chosen this dress from H and M, it has a beautiful fit which is not too clingy so hides all those lumps and bumps. With the weather still being cold I have layered a jersey polo neck under the dress in black also from H and M or you can go for cream, I also suggest that you wear thermal bottoms as its a great trick to keeping warm without anyone knowing you have them on. Layer on a Blazer yet another great item that will see you through the summer months, this season it is key to wear it oversized and baggy, this ZARA version is probably the most commercial blazer out there at the moment it is not too big and not too fitted just perfect. If you do have the confidence to go bigger and more masculine with your blazer then there are many options to choose from try AND OTHER STOIES.

Finally I wanted to add a bit of a contrast to this outfit as it is starting to feel a little dark for Spring so I have added this grey leather pouch from ZARA, it is a great sized bag that you can even get personalised with your initials, great mothers day present if your still looking.

WARDROBE EDITS: FEB

An overshirt and leather pants are the two key items that need be on your shopping list this month….

An overshirt also know as shaket, is heavier than a shirt but lighter than a jacket and is the ultimate layering piece, it can be worn over polo necks, hoodies, tees and light weight knits like this wardrobe staple from ARKET available in a wide range of colours.   one of my favourites is this maroon coloured check from ZARA, ensure you wear it oversized either loose like an over coat or add a belt like this leather ARKET belt to nip in the waist and add more shape to your silhouette. If you find this overshirt a little too boxy there are many other variations on the market in different fits and fabrics.

This is a really easy and casual look so you don’t want to over complicate things, wear back with straight leg jeans or Leather pants like these MANGO Faux leather slim leg trousers. Chunky boots are still the footwear of the season and although I remember Dr MARTINS first time round these really do finish the look making it the perfect casual outfit.

WARDROBE EDITS: JUNE

Summer holidays are just around the corner…..

When choosing items to take away with you on your summer vacation you need to consider the fabrication as well as choosing pieces that are versatile and will work for all occasions. This one shoulder co-ordinate from FREEPEOPLE is perfect for taking you from day to evening, wear with your bikini like this stunning floral option with re-movable straps from MARKS AND SPENCER and flats sandals during the day or throw on some heels, big statement earrings and a bracelets for a sophisticated evening look.

A simple outfit can change the way it looks by the choice of accessories you wear with it, during the day you need a practical bag that is large enough to carry all those essential items but still looks stylish like this one from MANGO. Elevate your look by adding these amazing cat-eye sunglasses from MIU MIU and a chunky chain bracelet by JENNY BIRD, ideally I would layer on the gold bracelets and rings for more of an evening look. This outfit is perfect for lounging round the poolside or roof top dinning, what ever your holiday this look will work for you.

WARDROBE EDITS: APRIL

Time to start thinking about your spring wardrobe…..

Marks and Spencer Animal print blouse, Mango Belt, Koibird Zayne Sandals, JCREW Wide leg cropped jeans Isabel Marant Shell Necklace Kyoto Tango Resin Bangles

WARDROBE UPDATE: MARCH

Time to invest in a suits, here are 3 of the best…

The trouser suit is no longer seen as corporate and is slowly becoming one of springs key items to buy for spring The suit is pushing boundaries and going beyond the standard grey, black and navy, think sugary pinks, pastels and of course the key colour of the season green. These are my three edits that I have styled in different ways to show how versatile and timeless the suit can be, wear with a white tee for a dress down look or pair back with a silk cami for smarter occasions.

Look 1 - I am loving the colour of this BAUKJEN Blazer and BAUKJEN Cigarette Pant in mint green, wear back with a bright green heeled shoe like this one from ASOS to make a statement.

Look 2 - The slouchy fit of this TIBI Blazer and TIBI High Raised Pants is bang on trend, apply MAC Candy Yum Yum lipstick and you’re ready to go.

Look 3 The pastel blue colour of this REISS Blazer and REISS Slim Pants Suit is probably a little easier to wear, I love dressing down my suits so I have teamed this with VEJA Trainer to make a casual daywear look.

WARDROBE UPDATES: FEBRuARY

Spring may be hitting the stores but it’s still wet and windy…….

March is the true start of spring but already the new collections are hitting the stores, the weather is warming but very temperamental, the sun might be here tomorrow or in a couple of months time so how do we plan our wardrobe for this….. Currently its wet and drizzly so you need a good pair of boots to see you through the next couple of months, I’m starting February by buying a pair of big chunky ankle boots, these The Kooples lace ups are a perfect statement that can be worn back with a simple jeans outfit and as the weather gets warmer you can wear back with your flimsy, floaty dress giving a hard edge to your look…..

You need to start thinking about a lighter weight coat and this Zara oversize wrap coat is perfect going into spring, whilst the weather is still slightly cold you can wear a lightweight gilet underneath to keep you warm. Neutrals make an outfit look really expensive so I’ve teamed the coat with this beige coloured knit from American Vintage and then contrast back with these Allsaints leather leggings that work perfectly with the boots. Make a statement with your jewellery and layer up your necklaces, this coin necklace from Missoms is a perfect starting point and layer back with dainty chokers or simple chains and finish the look with this amazing crochet bag from By Malene Birger the colours work perfectly back with the outfit and adds a bit of texture and interest.

I understand the hiker boot might put some people off so if you would prefer something a little smarter you can swap them out for these Topshop snake print boot and have a more simple, chic and sophisticated look.

WARDROBE UPDATES: JANUARY

If you want to stay one step ahead of the crowed then ditch the jeans and go for a Boilersuit……..

The Utility trend is going to be everywhere this summer and I know the choice of a boilersuits is not for everyone but they are so easy to wear, throw them on and off you go, not only that they can be styled in so many different way. Here are two of my favourites from the highstreet - Denim Boilersuit from Topshop and the Black boilersuit from And Other Stories. If you want a casual look roll up the hem and pop on some trainers, layering a roll neck underneath for warmth and add a bit of print like this one from Warehouse and swap your bag for a bum bag, this one from Tiba and Marl finishes the outfit nicely. If you prefer a more glitzy look then nip in the waist with a belt add a pair of heels and a blazer and you’re ready to make a statement.

As the weather gets warmer you can re-invent your look by adding sanding sandals or flat pumps and summer accessories hence the boilersuit is my first must have item for 2019, the utility trend is her to stay so if the boilersuit isn’t for you then maybe a pair of cargo pants?

WARDROBE UPDATES: NOVEMBER

Layering is the key to keeping warm through the winter months….

One of the main things I get asked is how to look good but still stay warm when its freezing outside, my response is to layer your outfit.

Start with thin items close to the body and allow them to get thicker the more you layer. A roll neck is always a great starting point they look great worn under blazers, shirts and all those pretty summer dresses that you though you had to abandon until the sun comes out again. This roll neck from ARKET is perfect, it is made from light weight merino Wool which reacts to the body temperature storing warmth when the body is cold and having a cooling effect when warm. By adding this beautiful checked KIRTI blazer under the ARKET Wool Trench Coat you are not only giving yourself an extra layer but also the ability to still look good once the coat is taken off but if you feel you need more layers you can always add a shirt to be worn over the polo neck.

Mixing textures and patterns together will add interest to your outfit, so to make this outfit stand out I have added a BIMBA Y LOLA printed scarf, if you feel this is too bold you can always change it for a solid coloured scarf. I’ve styled this look with a pair of VEJA trainers with recycled cotton textured panel for a casual look but you can always dress this look up with a pair of boots or fancy heels.

WARDROBE UPDATES: OCTOBER

The stores are filling with winter clothing so time to stock your wardrobe with lots of cosy pieces….

One of my favourite things about winter is that I get to choose a new winter coat although I do find this extremely difficult, there are so many amazing styles out there that I just can’t choose. Throughout winter the majority of people are going to see you in your coat and not what is actually worn under the coat so it has to look and fit perfectly. I’m a firm believe in always have one extra special coat in my wardrobe that I have spent a bit of money on and a variety of cheaper options so that I can mix up my look. This Maje Shearling coat is perfect to keep out the cold, you can easily dress it up or down but I’ve teamed it with this satin skirt from And Other Stories which isn’t the most warmest of styles I hear you cry so why not wear with tights and knee high boots from Dune to give the perfect winter look which is bang on trend.

If your natural colouring is cool then these tones are going to be too muted for you take out the neutrals and wear the satin skirt back with black boots, polo neck and coat to create an outfit which will look stunning...

WARDROBE UPDATES: SEPTEMBER

The weather is cooling but its still too warm for your winter coat so start to layer your outfits….

Snake is the new print of the season, you will find lots of monochrome garments in stores but I am loving this Zara snake print tunic dress in burnt Autumn tones. This dress will happily see you through the season but with summer essentially over you need to start thinking about layer your outfits to ensure it is practical all day long, I’ve added this beautiful oversized Blazer from Malene Birger to add extra warmth for those cold mornings but equally you can add a polo neck under the dress and knee high boots when the weather truly starting to turn.

WARDROBE UPDATES: APRIL

April is here and with April comes the showers, be prepared.....

Looking stylish in the rain is always difficult, garments need to be practical as well as making you look good. My go to brand is Rains, not only do they have a great offer of Macs in many different styles and colours they also offer the most amazing waterproof bags that I couldn't live without. The Macs are spacious enough to home your everyday outfit keeping it dry until you reach your destination, plus the peak on the hood mean you don't need to rely on and umbrella meaning all hands are free.  I've teamed my waterproofs back with these perfect Sorel boots to keep the rain out and once the rain has gone you can change the Mac for a aviator Jkt or leather biker jkt and still look super chic. see image below.

RAINS - Rucksack / RAINS - Rain Mac / ACNE - Hat / SOREL - Boot / J BRAND - Jeans

WARDROBE UPDATES: MARCH

It may not feel like it but Spring is here, you want pieces that are going to keep you warm but also transition you into the warmer weather when it arrives....

It's time to add a bit of colour to our wardrobe and brighten up our lives.....  I have chosen this lovely green coat from And Other Stories to do just that, if this colour doesn't suit your skin tones or it feels a little too extravagant then you can always pair down the outfit and wear it back with a simple beige Mac. Oversize knitwear is key for the season and this And Other Stories Jumbo turtleneck is perfect, as the weather gets warmer you can wear it back with floaty or tailored skirts as per @Figtny in images below.

For now I have chosen Burgandy crepe Trousers from The Outnet, but you can always smarten up the look and wear them with a beige or bright coloured blouse and heels but I've gone for the casual look and added a pair of  light Bone coloured Air Max 95 Premium from End. Finish the outfit off with an animal print scarf from Zarathe pop of yellow adds a bit of depth to the outfit.
